Remote working and People Management
People are fundamental to the success of organizations, they are key parts in a successful organization. Organizations that care about the quality of life, health and well-being of their people, create an environment of greater involvement, a sense of belonging, which translates into committed, motivated and more productive teams.

The .pt team is cohesive, motivated and fun, every day with a smile on the lips and always ready for new challenges. A truly special team, which incorporates, in its day-to-day, an innovative performance, focused and oriented towards achievements, among shares, dynamics and informal gatherings, with a keen sense of humor and where some pranks also take place, which cheer up and make our day different, giving way to memories.

This new reality, resulting from the covid-19 pandemic situation, led to a new mindset regarding people management and leadership. It is necessary to understand the limitations and find new ways and solutions to motivate virtual teams, promoting focus, continuous alignment and management of anxiety.

In particularly demanding contexts, such as the one we are living, some things are lost with remote working, but many others are achieved. If, on the one hand, the presence of colleagues in the workplace is lost, which facilitates mutual help, sharing and learning, there is a more complex leadership to perform due to physical distance, which can result in a decrease in the spirit of belonging and engagement, and a greater difficulty to involve new elements. On the other hand, there is an increase in productivity, associated with the fact that teleworking allows greater flexibility in the management of the working schedule, more autonomy, a more relaxed and comfortable environment, which promotes greater concentration, more assertive and shorter meetings and more availability, also resulting from the lack of the many hours spent traveling to work.

The context of isolation and remote working came to change, in a lot, the reality lived and known so far, we witnessed a disruptive transformation in our life and the work will not be the same. We need to find new ways to lead, manage people and reach them, find new ways to interact and keep this spirit of sharing, cooperation and conviviality alive.

It is a new challenge, we already have some ideas. Do you have any ideas you want to share?
