DNS.PT, ACEPI and DECO present CONFIO trustmark

In order to promote good practices in e-commerce in particular and in the use of the Internet in general, to ensure the credibility of online shops and the safety of consumers in online shopping, ACEPI - Association of the Digital Economy, DNS.PT Association and DECO - Portuguese Association for Consumer Protection signed an agreement under which developed the CONFIO.PT initiative that culminate with the launch of the new trustmark on the Internet, CONFIO.

A work directed to the national Internet community: this is one of the missions of DNS.PT clearly identified in its bylaws. This includes supporting projects, initiatives and organizations that promote the national Internet and consequently a safe Internet. This is a project that builds trust and online security, so the DNS.PT decided to join.

The CONFIO trustmark is a digital logo that certifies that the website has been accredited as a result of an audit process, underlying compliance with the trustmark Code of Conduct and Regulation.

The accreditation of sites, whether informational or commercial, is made through the www.confio.pt platform and is based on compliance with the Code of Conduct and Regulation. The trustmark is awarded by the DNS.PT Association, the institution responsible for accreditation according to the mission and responsibilities defined in the above mentioned protocol, through an external audit process guided by criteria such as technical rigor, independence, objectivity and transparency. The audit process is online and there is a continuous monitoring and annual reassessment of accredited sites.

CONFIO.PT is a unique national initiative that also provides a partnership with Ecommerce Europe to access the Digital European trustmark "Trust Ecommerce Europe”.
